One thing all successful blogs have is plenty of frequently updated content. If posts aren’t frequently added to a blog, it dies. Posts are like water, a blog is like a plant. If you don’t keep watering it, it will never grow.

I have set a goal that by February 2008 (around 7 months from now) this blog will be making a livable monthly income. Some would say that this is not enough time, and that it is an unreachable goal. For some bloggers it takes at least twice this to reach that goal.

I believe in bigger and better things though. I believe that if someone works hard enough and is motivated enough they can do anything they set their mind to. Thinking you can is the first step to success. If you think you can’t, you are right, you can’t. However, if you think you can, you already started the journey to success.

Just thinking it isn’t enough though, you have to make it a reality. You have to see it in motion. You have to see it being achieved in your mind. Play a tape over and over again that shows you achieving your goals. Make it a reality in your mind and your mind will make it a reality in your life.

If I want a successful blog I’ll need to water it daily with new posts. Posts keep a blog moving forward. As long as I keep adding posts, my blog will continue to grow. Sometimes the hardest part for bloggers is keeping up with this. You’ve probably come across a blog like this before. You’ll notice the blogger did really well for a couple of weeks and added new posts daily, but then you notice that they suddenly stopped posting, or they began to post less and less. Often on these blogs you’ll find posts such as, “I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had any time to post on here.”

The truth is, there will always be certain parts of our lives that will be busy. We all have it happen. If you are trying to create a successful blog, you will need to post on it several times a week. There probably won’t be one year of your life where you can wake up every day of that entire year and feel like you have plenty of time to write a post for your blog. If you wan’t to build a successful blog, you’ll have to make time!

Many people go through their lives saying, “Well…. when I have enough time I’ll do it, but right now I just don’t have enough time.” Then the next year comes and they say the same thing, and then the next year comes and they say it again, and then the next…. see what I mean?

My goal for this blog is to post at least once to five times a day. I’ll need to post five times a day more often than not if I want to reach my goal of making a livable monthly income off of the Internet.
