Blogger is a free blog publishing system open to anyone.  It provides a great opportunity to gain experience blogging, and to see what blogging is all about.

All you have to do is register and then pick an address you would like for your blog.  Your address will be what you picked with a “.blogspot.com” at the end.

I started with Blogger and currently have two active blogger blogs that I try to post daily on.

Although it took me a little while to catch on with Blogger, it still took me much shorter to figure out than when I first used Wordpress.

What is nice about Blogger 

1. Quick and painless to change the template. Just click, click, and click, and you can change your template like that.  Blogger has plenty of templates to choose from, and if you know css, you can even create your own simply enough. 

2. It is really easy to switch around the layout of your blog.  Just by dragging and dropping you can easily switch around the order of things or add new elements to your blog.

3. If you actively post on your blog, Blogger will send you traffic.  I have noticed that when I actively post on my blogs, Blogger will send me traffic.  Blogger likes newly updated blogs, so keep your blog updated and blogger will return the favor with sending you some traffic.  To test out exactly how much traffic they would send me, I posted around 25 times on my blog one day (it was an experiment), and found that Blogger alone sent 130 visitors that day, 80 the next day, and 50 the third day, even though I didn’t post anything the following days.

4. If you ever decide to change from Blogger, like to say, Wordpress, you can transfer all of your Blogger posts to your new Wordpress blog.  Wordpress has a feature that allows you to easily transfer your posts from your blog at Blogger.

Blogger is simple, easy, and loaded with enough features to create a great blog.  If you intend to give Blogging a try, I personally recommend Blogger to any newcomers.
