I have found that it is much more satisfying and easy for me to make a Squidoo lens about a passion or interest of mine.

Why should you Squidoo about your passions?

1. You’ll make better lenses.

Who do you think would do a better job at making a lens about baseball?  A baseball fanatic or just an average joe?  People who are passionate about what they create will be able to come up with better and more content on their lens than someone who could care less.  Passion shows to the readers as well.  I know baseball fanatics would much rather read a lens by a fellow baseball fanatic then a guy that is only pretending to care about baseball just so he can add another lens.

2. You’ll Get More Visitors

Because you will make a better lens!  Your lens will get better ratings, more people will want to visit it, it will climb in rankings, and hey, you could even get lens of the day, or get featured in the top 100 lenses. 

Someone passionate about their lens’s topic should be able to write better and more content about it.  Having more content will help you get more traffic from search engines.  Also, better content will increase your chances of a visitor sharing your lens with someone else or bookmarking it in del.icio.us or elsewhere.

3. You’ll Earn More

Because you’ll be getting more visitors to your lens!  Getting more visitors should definitely increase your Squidoo earnings.

If you can’t come up with something to make a lens about, making a lens about your passions or interest is always a great place to start.
