For those of you that don’t know what Squidoo is, it is a site where users can sign up and create pages (referred to as lenses) about anything they want.  Users (called Lensmasters) can earn money from the pages they create on Squidoo, and can use the pages to increase their traffic to a web site, blog, etc. 

Recently Squidoo introduced their partner project, “The Ever Project.”  Normally when you make a Squidoo lens, the url turns out something like, http://www.squidoo.com/… followed by what you named your lens.  Now you have the option to make lenses that have the URL  http://(a word from the list below).”whatever you choose”.ever.com

First you have to pick the first word in the URL of the lens you are creating. the options are;

Whew! That’s a long list!

Pretty much you pick what word you want from the list above, and then type in what you want in the middle of the URL for your lens.

For example, lets say I want to make a lens about the best blog ever.  It would turn out as http://best.blog.ever.  You can make the middle part of the URL, (blog in this case) anything you want.

“The Ever Project” is great if you know of anything that you think is the best, weirdest, yummiest, finest, etc.  It’s really easy and quick to make a lens using “The Ever Project.” 

Why would you create any kind of lens on Squidoo?

A great benefit of making a lens on Squidoo is that you can use it to get more traffic to your blog, web site, an affiliate product, etc.  Squidoo lenses get indexed in the search engines, and can even show up on the first page of search results on Google.
