The second pay per post site that I’m using in this month’s traffic building test is the well established myLot.
For those that don’t know, my test involves becoming an active member of pay per post sites like Crazoo, and myLot and seeing how much traffic I can accumulate from posting regularly on them.
Compared to the other pay per post sites, myLot adds more of a social networking site feel to it. You can add friends, pictures, and customize your profile.
How much does myLot pay?
MyLot pays for every discussion you start and for every response you make to a discussion. The earnings depend on your ratings. If you leave short comments, you’ll earn less. On the other hand if you leave longer and well thought responses, you’ll earn more. Earnings are around $0.01 and above (but not much above).
MyLot pays with PayPal.

MyLot has a nice referral system set up. They will pay you 25% of what your friends earn, which is a nice percentage! The hard part I hear, however, is recruiting friends that will stay active. I have seen many say that someone will sign up under them, and then make a couple posts, and then disappear from myLot forever. For this reason you would need to recruit thousands of referrals for it to add up.
Rules Rules Rules
For the purpose of advertising this blog and getting some more traffic, it would be nice to be able to put my link in more places, but the only time you can place a link in a discussion is when someone asks for it, or when it pertains to the discussion. They seem to be pretty strict about it as well.
Testing the traffic sending capability of myLot
Pay per post sites seem to be a fun idea. People often become active and post on several forums to get more traffic to their own sites, so I wanted to see how effective it would be to post on a forum where I could get paid to post, as well as earn some money. The test will involve me aiming to post at least 5 times a day on myLot as well as Crazoo, and at the end of this month I’ll show you how much traffic (and money) I received from it.
