Imagine waking up, doing your routine, then going to your computer, opening your Internet browser and then seeing a page, customized by you, that has everything you want all on one page?
That’s exactly what Page Flakes does. Check new posts on your favorite blogs, see the current news from your favorite news sites, add a to-do list, see how your stock is preforming, check email, weather, the list goes on and on. You can have all the things you want to see in the morning or whenever you open your Internet browser, all conveniently organized on your own customized Page Flakes page.
I stumbled onto Page Flakes after trying Google’s version of it. I decided I loved the idea of creating my own custom home page where I could conveniently check up on all of my favorite blogs and such, so I began looking for an alternative version. I like Google, but whenever I get the chance to help out a smaller competitor, I take it, mainly for the reason that I think Google is almost becoming too big. I support Google, but I want a diverse Internet, not one that is dominated by one company.
Becoming a member of Page Flakes was super easy and fast. Within seconds I was on my way to customizing my own start up page. I had so much fun with it, that I ended up spending nearly all day finding blogs and thinking of things that I would like to see every morning when I roll out of bed and hop on the computer. My Page Flakes page is now crammed and chocked full of interesting things.
Talk about convenience! My Page Flakes page makes it so much easier for me to read new posts from my favorite blogs, check email, and check out what’s new at my favorite sites. Every now and then I go to youtube to check out new mountainboarding and paintball videos, since I enjoy them in my free time. Page Flakes has a feature where I can add youtube videos to my page and select what kind of youtube videos I want to see by typing in a keyword. Now every time I log in, I get to see the most popular mountainboarding and paintball videos on youtube.
If you don’t have a customized start page, I recommend you try it out.
